Professor Blanden is a Lecturer Eastern University, teaching at the undergraduate level in the School of Nursing.  She is of Puerto Rican descent and is fluent in speaking, reading and writing Spanish. She has been a practicing professional registered nurse for about 15 years. Her areas of expertise range across a broad spectrum of nursing experiences including but not limited to acute care , post acute care, nursing clinical, nursing practice simulations as well as various leadership roles in nursing.

Professor Blanden came to Eastern University in 2022. With her many experiences in nursing she wanted to be part of the process to help mold our future in nurses. She enjoys teaching, mentoring and supporting the students within the nursing program. Professor Blanden has had many special opportunities in her career as a nurse and wishes to be able to not only share those experiences, but to expand the horizons of our students and encourage them to be the change in the future  of nursing  practice.
