Sean D. Harris
Dr. Harris serves as an Assistant Professor of Political Science, Chair of the Department of Social Transformation, and the academic coordinator for the 4+1 in Public Policy Program with Temple University. Dr. Harris earned his Ph.D. in Political Science from Temple University, specializing in comparative politics and international relations. Prior to joining the faculty at Eastern University, Dr. Harris taught political science courses at Haverford College, Temple University, and West Chester University. His primary research interests span several critical areas within the discipline, including nationalism and Christian nationalism, political parties, identity politics, democratic political systems, European politics, and qualitative methodology. In the classroom, Dr. Harris is dedicated to fostering an environment anchored in honesty and mutual respect. He strives to cultivate a space where students feel empowered to ask questions, express diverse viewpoints, and challenge their own assumptions, all while developing practical, real-world skills.
