How does the prop you brought represent you?
My notebook/ iPad represents me in a way that most people may not know. I try to learn something new every day. I look for inspiration in nearly everything that I do or walk by.
How would you describe courage in one sentence?
The ability to be bold despite my obstacles and challenges.
How did getting your degree require courage?
I decided to pursue my master’s degree during a time where I was just recently married and my wife and I were expected our first child. My son Noah was born a month into my program. I wanted to create a platform for my children, but also earn the credibility to purse my passion of the non-profit sector.
How does your current job or career path require courage?
My career and passion require me to lead and be a person of impact. I work for a non-profit that requires me to work with first generation college students. My volunteer work also requires me to work with young people and young adults. My “walk” has to represent my “walk”. I am in a position on influence everyday.
How did EU help you become more courageous in your thinking and actions?
Eastern has help me become more courageous by allowing me to open my eyes to a wider world view. Eastern gave me the opportunity to meet people with different perspective, it has taught me to see my passion from a behind the scenes point of view.
Where do you hope courage will lead you in the future?
I want to be the innovator that creates and writes strategies and programs that promote a positive change in the communities that I serve. I want my story to influence others to be better.
