How does the prop you brought represent you?

Captain American Shield - in order to conquer you have to have a warrior mentality to overcome your doubts and fears which requires courage. Reminder that you need courage to conquer yourself.

 

How would you describe courage in one sentence?

Courage is the willingness to step out in faith to overcome fear.

 

How did getting your degree require courage?

As I made the decision to attend Eastern University to pursue my degree, I had to have courage to conquer my fear of making the wrong decision, regarding which school to attend. I had to be confident in my decision to turn down an accelerated direct entry DPT program to attend Eastern. This choice required courage and faith to follow my discernment that Eastern was the right school to obtain my degree.

 

How does your current job or career path require courage?

As a goal of being a physical therapist, it will require courage to reach out to those in need by impacting their physical health as well as their entire well-being.

 

How did EU help you become more courageous in your thinking and actions?

Eastern University has increased my belief in myself to allow me to expand my thoughts and set higher goals for myself. EU has also provided me opportunities to step into leadership roles which has enabled me to have more confidence in the impact I can make on others. This has ranged from tutoring other students, to leading a team small group for track, to having the opportunity to be a TA in my upcoming junior year.

 

Where do you hope courage will lead you in the future?

I believe that courage will lead me to reach the goals I have set for my life. The aspirations I desire to accomplish include, attending a high level Physical Therapy Doctoral program and eventually opening my own sports medicine rehab center. These things will require courage to conquer my fears and self-doubts that will inevitably come along the way.
