St. Davids, PA: Eastern University is excited to announce the completion of state-of-the-art renovations to the baseball field on its St. Davids campus. The field has been completely upgraded to synthetic turf that is playable year-round, and includes new dugouts, bullpens, wall padding, batting cages, a sound system, and a large video board. Construction wrapped up in August, and the field will be used for the upcoming 2026 baseball season.
The new facility will not only elevate the student-athlete experience but will also provide a premier venue for fans and the broader community to gather in support of Eastern Athletics. With its modern upgrades, the field stands as a symbol of school spirit, teamwork, and pride.
In 2025, the Eagles grew in number and experience while competing on the road. The young team closed the season strong with five wins in their final six games, including narrow one-run battles against MAC Commonwealth Champions and national finalist Messiah. Building on that momentum, the team looks ahead with anticipation to its debut on the new field in 2026.
The project was funded through Eastern University’s comprehensive A Time to Rise campaign, which has already surpassed $27 million of its $30 million goal as the University celebrates its Centennial year.
Eastern will host a formal blessing of the new baseball field on October 10, 2026.
