St. Davids, PA: Eastern University is proud to announce the appointment of Jeffrey (Jeff) Libson and Benjamin (Ben) B. Rogers to its Board of Trustees.
Jeffrey Libson
Libson is a recently retired corporate attorney whose career has focused on the entrepreneurial Life Sciences area. He spent the majority of his career at Pepper Hamilton in Philadelphia, where he chaired their National Life Sciences practice, and the last decade as a Partner at Cooley LLP, where he was a member of their Global Life Sciences leadership team.
Additionally, Libson taught Health Care/Life Sciences entrepreneurship at the Wharton Business School. He holds a Bachelor’s in Economics and English from Oberlin College and a law degree from Duke University. Libson is an integral part of the Life Sciences industry in the Philadelphia region, having shepherded many entrepreneurs through their startup, growth, and buyout phases.
Benjamin B. Rogers
Rogers is a Senior Vice President, Corporate Banking Relationship Manager at Citizens Bank N.A. Previously, he served as International Relationship Manager at HSBC and Commercial Relationship Manager at Truist Bank. He holds a Bachelor’s in Accounting and Finance from the University of Richmond.
Ben has been associated with Eastern for his whole life. His grandmother, Virginia Walton Baird, was the daughter of the original owner of the Walmarthon Estate, which is now Eastern’s campus. Both Rogers’ father and grandfather spent their careers raising money for Eastern.
Both of the new appointees are dedicated fathers, engaged members of their churches, and active in the community. Libson has also served as a Trustee on several other Boards, including the Sabin Vaccine Institute, Bryn Mawr Presbyterian Church, Friends Central School, and more. Rogers has served on Boards including the Benchmark School, Camp Agawam, and the Association for Corporate Growth.
With their remarkable blend of professional excellence and faith-based passion for community service, Libson and Rogers are poised to play a key role in shaping Eastern’s flourishing future.
