What to Wear

Commencement is a day of celebration, and we want to look our best. We also want to make sure everyone is safe and comfortable.

Commencement will take place at the Mann Center for the Performing Arts , which is an Outdoor Amphitheater built into a hill in Fairmount Park, Philadelphia.

Parking is free and on the grass. Depending on where you park, it is approximately a 5-10 minute walk to the front gate from most parking spots.

It is recommended that guests wear sensible shoes for the walk to the ceremony and up the hill.

If students or guests have any mobility concerns please, view Eastern's disability resources.

The Ceremony is outside rain or shine and umbrellas will not be permitted.

The majority, if not all, seats are covered. If your seat is not covered, Eastern will provide ponchos if it begins to rain.

We suggest you dress for the weather of the day.

Ceremony

We will have three (3) ceremonies this year:
Friday May 3rd, 2024 at 2pm
Saturday May 4th, 2024 10:30am
Saturday May 4th, 2024 3:30pm

Please confirm with your graduate which ceremony to attend.
The ceremonies will be held at the Mann Center for the Performing Arts
This is a lovely Outdoor Amphitheater in Fairmount Park, please dress accordingly.
Tickets are required for all graduates, faculty, guests and staff. Please check the Ticket and Weather Policy Webpage for more information.
Parking is free.
