What do an artist, a prevention specialist, and a former NFL player all have in common? All three have received their Master’s in Clinical Counseling from Eastern University! TJ Walsh ’16, MA, LPC, NCC, CCTP, CMHIMP, Emily Jubeck ’16, MA, LPC, and Tim Massaquoi ’15, MA, LPC have joined together to further the reach of their practice.

We all long for change in our homes, schools, communities, and our world. But change isn’t passive – it always requires a catalyst, a change agent. Is there any hope? Again and again, this harrowing question echoed in Anthony’s young mind. By age 16, growing up in the barrios of North Philadelphia, his level of expectation for the future became clouded by despair.

In 2020, our world was forced to innovate in order to accommodate a world- wide pandemic that not only affected our personal lives, but our entire society, culture, and healthcare system as a whole.

There’s an old song in the African American faith tradition that says “I’m so glad trouble don’t last always... When storm clouds rise in your life, He'll be there... Weeping may endure for a night, keep the faith it will be alright.” Acknowledging the hope that flows through these lyrics, Pastor Khalil Rogers pushes forward in uncertain times with the understanding that “trouble don’t last always.”

Eastern's Dean of the College of Business and Leadership, Dr. Al Socci, was recently named one of the Sam Walton Fellows of the Year for 2021 during the Enactus United States National Exposition.

Eastern Athletic Director Eric McNelley announced that Athletics has started the search for a head coach for competitive Cheer and Dance programs. The Athletic Department intends to launch both programs in the 2021-22 academic year.
