St. Davids, PA: Eastern University Football will host their first home event, an intersquad scrimmage on Friday, October 7 at 4 pm, as part of Eastern’s Homecoming Weekend. All are welcome to join alumni, students, faculty, and staff to cheer on our new football team. The team launched this year and will begin NCAA Division III competition in Fall 2023. Eastern Cheer and Dance will be on hand for the tailgate and scrimmage.
Love to tailgate? Come early and join us as we celebrate the start of a new season for EU athletics! Grills will be fired up around 2:00pm and cook-out style food will be available for purchase at a minimal cost. Bring snacks, camping chairs, and lawn games to play as we anticipate the start of the game. No alcohol will be permitted on site.
Following the game, students, faculty, staff, and alumni are invited back to campus for a backyard BBQ cookout & a movie on Kea Guffin Hill as part of Homecoming Weekend!

Additional Athletic Events at Homecoming
The celebration continues with a wide array of athletic events on Saturday. Field Hockey, Women’s Soccer, Men’s Soccer all have home games. Women’s Volleyball, Women’s Basketball, and Men’s Basketball will all have alumni games, and Baseball will play an inter-squad doubleheader. Athletics will also host the 2022 Eagle Classic Golf Outing on Monday. The playing field is filling quickly, but there are still spots available for playing and sponsorship.
