The journalism minor at Eastern surveys the various forms and functions of contemporary journalism, equipping students to work as journalists in print and digital environments as well as to analyze and assess media coverage of events.

The MS in Data Science program provides instruction in both DS-standard programming and statistics while also emphasizing the critical, moral, philosophical, and spiritual values often overlooked in data science programs. 

The 100% Online Certificate in Data Science for post-baccalaureate students is designed for all students, whether you are a newcomer to data science and analytics or you are an experienced professional. 

The BS in Special Education allows students to combine this degree with the PK-12 Special Education Certification. Students also have the opportunity to add-on other relevant certifications such as Elementary, Middle Level, Secondary Education or English as a Second Language.

Students seeking a secondary certification to teach in any 7-12 grade will first take all the course requirements for a major in the respective subject, e.g. English. The student will then take the additional educational courses required to receive secondary certification in one of the following areas of study: Biology, Chemistry, English, Math, Social Studies or a Language (Spanish and French). Therefore, the subject is the major and secondary education or language certification is the area of study.

The BS in Music Education provides students the opportunity to study music and the art of teaching with award-winning faculty scholars. Upon successful completion of all required courses, students with receive Music Education certification (PK-12) and the opportunity to teach music in Pennsylvania (PA) public schools.

The BA in Dance is community-based dance program focused on pursuing technical excellence combined with the Christian faith.  Dance faculty have regional, national, and international recognition with expertise in research, education, performance, choreography, community-based arts, and studio work.
